As a Solution Development Leader for Johnson Controls you will leverage your in depth knowledge of energy efficiency, sustainability, procurement, financial, and legal processes within K-12 Education, Higher Education, Local and State Government or Health Care verticals market to navigate complex, large scale energy efficiency projects through the discovery, verification and presentation phases of our sales process.

As a Solution Development Leader your primary mission will be to drive the development of energy efficiency solutions, with a focus on technology, renewable energy and the financial, legal, and policy issues for your vertical. Your mastery level understanding of MEP systems, energy efficiency, renewable energy, procurement processes, statutes, and policies will ensure you immediately build a reputation as an expert with clients and internal resources alike. A Certified Energy Manager or LEED Accredited Professional designations will be crucial to your success in this role. Superior analytical and financial skills are required to develop customer business cases for the conceptual solution including detailed cost estimates, quantified cost savings, environmental impact, and risk analysis. During the sales process, you will work closely with the Account Executive for all client relations and provide leadership to our Project Engineering, Operations, Systems and Service departments as well as other JCI and third party business units on the development and execution of technical solutions so your proven track record of influencing clients and internal teams towards a final solution will be critical to your success. Your industry expertise will also be fully utilized as you scope and analyze clients needs, while developing a detailed project plan addressing policies, legislative and regulatory issues, and statutes specific to the your vertical. In addition, your ability to quickly and accurately qualify or disqualify opportunities and manage client expectations will be crucial as you drive the most detailed, large scale, complex project in our pipeline across the finish line while providing mentorship and professional leadership to your team members.
