APSES Sales Manager (Phoenix, Arizona)
As a key member of the leadership team, the Sales Manager will lead and manage all sales activities for the APS Energy Services unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to a dedicated team of sales professionals in maintaining a dominant position in established markets, while developing new business opportunities in the southwest.
Major Accountabilities: • Develop and mentor strategic selling team to ensure annual sales goals and profitability targets are met • Manage sales team’s efforts related to client acquisition, retention and relationship management • Maintain active involvement with Government Affairs associations, alliance representation, lobbying coordination, legislation and policy development • Prequalify company investments using established processes and guidelines • Maximize IT resources to accurately manage sales funnel
Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, Management or related field • Strong knowledge of performance contracting &/or the renewable industry preferred • 5-8 years sales/sales management experience (or equivalent combination of education/experience) • Extensive experience in high-level owner account sales, both at the C-level and operations preferred • Proven executive presentation and consultative selling skills • Demonstrated ability to carefully define opportunities and problems, engage appropriate resources and develop effective solutions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
